Famine greyscale color tutorial thingy

So yep, I hope you can read my handwriting! It looks so much better on paper, but oh well xD This is how I paint my greyscales, basically. I use a lot more work, obviously, with all of the shades and hues and whatnot, but once you understand the basic concept, all of that is automatic.

I use Photoshop CS5, but this method can be used in almost any other painting program. I have no idea how to use Paint Tool Sai, otherwise I'd make a sai version of this, but the concept is the same so you should be able to understand it and follow along, even though the tools aren't in the same spot. If you know where they are, you're all set
